5/6 Years Tap/Jazz
Perfect for a dancer starting out - but also a great progression for dancers who have previous experience in a Tiny Dancer program.
This class focuses on the technique of both jazz and tap. Starting with tap - dancers learn the basics and start to combine steps. The jazz section follows with dancers being taught the fundamentals of jazz technique - setting them up with confidence for their future training.

Girls - Camel tap shoes and camel jazz shoes.
Boys - Black tap shoes and black jazz shoes.

5/6 Years Ballet
Our ballet classes train dancers in the fundamental dance technique. For our 5-6 years age group the classes encourage creativity while working with the grace and discipline required in classical ballet. All our 5/6 Year Ballet classes will be following the RAD Syllabus.

Uniform
Girls - Black or Dance Space Bloch leotard with ballet stockings or white socks. Matching wrap ballet skirt is optional. Ballet pink ballet slippers.
Boys - Black short and form fitting black t-shirt. Black ballet slippers.
Hair tied neatly back from the face - preferably in a bun.
Jazz Technique and Combo
This class will consist of a warm-up, technique exercises, stretching and 'across the floor'. Each lesson students will learn a short routine at the end of class to increase their confidence and encourage them to perform! As students get older - the complexity of exercises advances.

Tap
Following the Tap Mode Syllabus - students will study set exercises and a routine. Extension exercises will also be taught across all levels.

Girls - Black lace up or buckle tap shoes
Boys - Black lace up tap shoes.
Hair tied neatly back from the face - preferably in a low, centre-part pony tail or a bun. Braids are also acceptable.
Lyrical
This style requires strong technique and has more freedom of movement, particularly in the upper body and with the use of floorwork.
It is recommended that dancers also combine a jazz or ballet class to further enhance their performance in this style of dance.

Conditioning
Get strong, build stamina, improve flexibility!
Our Thursday conditioning class incorporates Progressive Ballet Technique as well as other strength-building techniques to help dancers maximise their performance across all genres.
This class is for dancers 10 years plus.

7 years+ - Ballet
Dancers from age 7 will be offered the option of two ballet classes per week. All our Friday ballet classes will be following the RAD Syllabus and the other timetabled class will be a combination of Open work and the RAD Syllabus. This will strengthen dancers technique as well as challenging them to learn and present work each week.

Girls - Black or Dance Space Bloch leotard, ballet stockings. A matching wrap skirt is optional. For older students - fitted shorts or warmup pants are acceptable. Ballet pink ballet shoes.
Boys - Black shorts or tights and fitted black t-shirt. For older boys please ensure you are wearing an appropriate dance belt. Black ballet slippers.
Hair tied neatly back from the
face - preferably in a bun.
Braids are also acceptable.

Contemporary
Contemporary dance is a challenging style which will help to further a dancers technique while letting them experience several different ways of moving. In class students will go through a number of training exercises where their bodies can develop this strength and technique as well as develop their performance ability.

All ages - Hip Hop
This class is set to the latest tunes and encourages students to find their own style. All content is kept age appropriate including music. Following a short warm-up a routine is taught for a few weeks to allow students to build confidence with their performance and encourage students to retain choreography. This class is always a great workout too!

Acrobatics
Following the Acrobatic Arts syllabus from Primary to Level 6 - our goal is for our dancers to be able to safely incorporate acrobatic tricks into their dance routines with ease. This program is based on safe and effective progressions with proven results in five categories of AcroDance; Flexibility, Strength, Balancing, Limbering and Tumbling. ​
It is recommended that dancers participate in at least one other dance class for maximum progression in the program.
